The drawbridge and portcullis both work smoothly, so my players can actually see the gate close as they try to flee. The murder holes above the entrance are a nice touch that adds real tactical depth to siege scenes, and the painted stonework looks great on the table.

The portcullis mechanism is genuinely satisfying to operate—that spring-release feels solid every time, and the murder holes add a nice layer of menace. Took me an evening to paint the stonework, but the LED sconces really make the gate pop once it’s lit.

The LED sconces add a fantastic glow to the gate, making it perfect for a night-time siege scene. I do wish the spring mechanism on the portcullis was a tad sturdier, but it's still a fun feature.
