Explore the Dungeon Starter Bundle Vaulted (Unpainted): a mid-sized Dwarvenite dungeon terrain bundle with core pieces, a bonus gift card, and practical buying advice.
Quick answer
The Dungeon Starter Bundle Vaulted (Unpainted) is a mid-sized Dwarvenite dungeon terrain bundle that combines the Core Set and Advanced Core Set, making it the best starting point for a Vaulted Dungeon collection.
Why this bundle is a smart starting point
The Dungeon Starter Bundle Vaulted (Unpainted) is built around the idea of giving you a practical, flexible foundation for RPG terrain. It merges the Core Set and Advanced Core Set into one package, so you get a balanced mix of basic building pieces for coverage without having to buy two separate sets.
This bundle was previously known as the Dungeon Double Bundle - Vaulted during the Dungeons Reforged campaign on Gamefound. That legacy name hints at its purpose: a double set that saves you money compared to buying the components individually.
What you should know about the unpainted version
Choosing the unpainted Dwarvenite set means you'll need to paint the terrain yourself. This is a great option if you enjoy customizing your table or want to match a specific color scheme. However, it does require an investment of time and paint supplies.
If you're new to painting miniatures, the unpainted version is a good learning canvas. The Dwarvenite material is durable and forgiving, and you can always repaint pieces later if your style changes.
The bonus gift card adds value
The bundle includes a $15 Dwarven Forge gift card, which is a nice bonus that can offset the cost of your next purchase. Whether you need extra pieces, paint, or accessories, that gift card gives you a small head start.
This is a practical addition for new collectors who are likely to expand their terrain soon after the initial purchase.
Decision rules for the Dungeon Starter Bundle Vaulted
- If you want a balanced starting collection: Choose this bundle if you're new to Dwarvenite and want a mix of core pieces that cover a variety of dungeon layouts. The combination of Core Set and Advanced Core Set gives you more flexibility than a single set.
- If you prefer painting your own terrain: Pick the unpainted version if you enjoy customizing your table or want to save money upfront. Be prepared to spend time painting before your first game. Set aside a weekend for painting before your first session.
- If you're on a budget but want value: The bundle offers a discount compared to buying the sets separately, and the included $15 gift card adds extra value. This is a cost-effective way to build a substantial collection. Use the gift card to buy a paint set or a few extra pieces.
- If you plan to expand later: This bundle is designed as a starting point, so it pairs well with future Dwarvenite sets. The pieces are compatible with other Vaulted Dungeon products. Check compatibility with your desired expansion sets before purchasing.
