The unpainted surface gives me full control to match my existing castle pieces, and the piece fits snugly into the layout without any wobble. I grabbed a second one right after testing the first, it’s that useful for expanding the tower levels.

The bare MDF surface took the gray primer really well, and the castle stonework texture is crisp enough to make drybrushing easy. I used it as the top of a gatehouse tower, and the 3/4 floor design gives just enough overhang for a walkway.

This unpainted floor piece fits perfectly into my castle build, though I wish it came with a tiny bit more texture detail for painting. The connection points are solid and it locks in well with the rest of the set. A solid addition for the price.
