Pokorny Paint Colours are Dwarven Forge's own water-based acrylic paint.  They were formulated by our founder, Stefan Pokorny, to achieve the optimal viscosity for painting Dwarvenite terrain. They don't need to be diluted, which waters down the pigments -- and you don't need to prime your pieces. Please just shake each generous 4 oz bottle before each use.

Leo ★★★★★

The pigment load is impressive for a water-based acrylic—one coat covers my Dwarvenite tiles cleanly without any chalky residue. It flows off the brush smoothly and dries with a nice matte finish, exactly what I wanted for shading stonework.

Christopher ★★★★☆

The consistency is exactly right for painting dungeon tiles—not too thin, not too thick. Only knocked off a star because the color dried a shade darker than I expected from the bottle.

Olivia M. ★★★☆☆

I got this hoping it would be a dark, matte base coat, but it goes on with a bit more shine than I expected for acrylic. Coverage is decent after two thin coats, though it needed a good shake to mix properly. It works fine for terrain details, just not the exact finish I had in mind.
