Category: Paint

So... back in the day we accidentally switched the Electrum and Radium pigments when we made our first batches. Consequently, the name doesn't match the color anymore, but it's been far too long to change them back, so here we are.

Electrum exhibits a subtle color shift between green, gold, and a hint of warm something or other on the finish. It is always changing and doesn't have an either/or kind of look.

Note: Electrum must be used over a black basecoat. If used over white, it appears reddish-orange.

Paint Type: Turboshift
COLOR IN BOTTLE: RED
Tone: midrange
Recommended Basecoat: black
UCL Description:moderate yellow green through moderate olive green to pale yellow green shifting metallic

Brian ★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly this paint spreads on canvas—the consistency is perfect for fine details. It dries quickly with a nice matte finish, exactly what I needed for my latest project. Definitely a solid buy for the price.

Kevin H. ★★★★★

The name might not match the color, but honestly that little backstory makes it more charming. The 0.75 oz tube is the perfect size for my smaller canvases, and the pigment goes on so smoothly that I didn't need a second coat.

Violet Q. ★★★★★

Was a bit confused by the name at first, but the color itself is rich and covers well in one coat. The tiny 0.75 oz tube is perfect for small projects or testing a new shade.
